The Zumper Los Angeles Metro Area Report analyzed active listings last month across metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The California one bedroom median rent was $2,016 last month.

The Most Expensive

Beverly Hills was the most expensive city with one-bedrooms priced at $3,100.

Santa Monica ranked as the second priciest with rent at $3,080.

West Hollywood was the third most expensive with rent at $2,840.

The Least Expensive

Hawthorne was the most affordable city with one-bedrooms priced at $1,720.

Riverside ranked as the second least expensive with rent at $1,790.

Long Beach & Inglewood were tied for third with rents both at $1,630.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

Beverly Hills had the fastest growing rent, up 5.8% since this time last year.

West Hollywood saw rent climb 5.2%, making it the second fastest growing.

Rancho Cucamonga ranked as third with rent increasing 5%.

The Fastest Growing (M/M%)

Hawthorne had the largest monthly rental growth rate, up 5.5%.

Beverly Hills ranked as second with rent increasing 4.7%.

Glendale was third with rent climbing 3.3%.
